CSS/386
CSS owns reset state, fetch phases, x86 and ModR/M decode, the 8086 effective-address matrix, memory transactions, segment loads, IF, ALU, flags, fault, and halt. JavaScript is an opcode-blind byte-storage bus.

current claim — a segmented 16-bit real-mode seed core has CS/DS/SS/ES, a 20-bit physical bus, the full general register file, generated F000:FFF0 reset state, and executes a broad but incomplete real-mode subset entirely through generated CSS: register and segment transfer; 8086 ModR/M memory addressing; arithmetic, logic, and architectural flags; stack, call, return, and conditional control; software INT imm8 and IRET; generic memory and port cycles; and LODSB/LODSW, MOVSB, and STOSB/STOSW with supported REP forms. Invalid or unimplemented forms fault. The current CSS-owned device slice covers only narrow floppy-controller DOR/reset/IRQ-request behavior; it does not deliver hardware interrupts or provide PIC, full FDC/DMA/drive/disk behavior, firmware, or keyboard BIOS services. JavaScript remains opcode-blind storage, clock, trace, and UI glue. The 07c00 landing ROM is synthetic: this is not a BIOS, boot sector, complete 8086, or 386 yet.
